Personalized medicine facilitates the development of an individualized approach to treating patients' conditions. Moreover, it provides opportunities for early disease prevention. Genetic and OMICS technologies play a crucial role in making personalization a reality.

Most diseases are multifactorial, meaning various factors contribute to their onset and are not strictly deterministic. Rare and metabolic diseases, however, serve as models for the breakdown of key biological processes. By studying and understanding them, deviations from the normal course of biochemical processes in healthy individuals can be well observed.

Lifestyle factors such as diet and physical activity can serve as means of correcting and preventing multifactorial diseases, as well as improving the course of rare diseases.
Montenegro boasts an exceptional environment conducive to enhancing lifestyle factors that positively influence health through various mechanisms, including epigenetics.
